Neuropsychological Testing And Assessment
Please be advised that your Neurologist or Primary Care Physician or Psychiatrist has referred you for Neuropsychological or Psychological Testing.
Neuropsychology is a branch of psychology that is concerned with how a person’s cognition and behaviors are related to the the brain and the rest of the nervous system. A neuropsychological evaluation is requested to specifically understand how the different areas and systems of the brain are working.
NEUROPSYCHOLOGICAL TESTING:
- INITIAL CLINICAL SESSION – [ One hour session. CPT Code: 90791 ] The initial session consists of review and gathering of relevant historical and medical information. At this session. we will set up the testing schedule.
- TESTING – The testing session will consist of Two sessions of two or more hours each. [CPT code: 96136/ 96137 / 96132 /96133 ]
- FEEDBACK – [One hour session – CPT Code: 90837 ]. Two to three weeks following completion of the testing, a Neuropsychological Report will be faxed and mailed to the referral physician. A feedback appointment (of one hour) will be made with the client and spouse or relevant family members. [Please be advised that the the feedback appointment is frequently scheduled by my office staff (following the second day of completion of the testing), for a day two to three weeks later].
